Join Habitat for Humanity Canada’s national board of directors

The Nominating Committee of the national board of directors of Habitat for Humanity Canada is accepting applications to serve on its volunteer national board of directors to fill upcoming vacancies.

The next election for the national board of directors will take place at the annual general meeting (AGM) scheduled for Friday, May 22, 2020 in London, Ontario. The nomination/application deadline is January 10, 2020 at 5 p.m. ET.

There are up to five board positions available in 2020, up to three of which may be external. One position must be from ‘Region 1’ (British Columbia/ Yukon) and the other board positions can be from any region, proving that no more than five internal candidates come from any one region. The service term for each position is for a period of three years commencing directly after the AGM on Friday, May 22, 2020 and may serve a maximum of three full consecutive terms.

We are especially looking for qualified candidates who have skills/experience in the following areas:

• Legal
• Health and safety
• Retail experience
• Real estate development
• Construction
