In 2017, we helped build strength, stability and independence for 248 families in Canada and many more through our global engagement work. Read about these families whose lives were changed forever in our latest annual report [digital] [pdf].
2017 by the numbers:
248 additional families in Canada building strength, stability and self-reliance in a Habitat home in 2017.
3,386 families in Canada have accessed a safe and decent home by partnering with Habitat since 1985.
1,001 people in Ethiopia, Malawi, Cambodia, Nepal, Nicaragua, El Salvador and Dominican Republic now have new or improved housing, sanitation or training because of Habitat Canada’s work in 2017.
1,579 volunteers travelled with Global Village Canada to help families build all over the world in 2017.
50,000+ volunteers rolled up their sleeves to build with Habitat across Canada in 2017
$43 million in societal benefits were generated through our work in 2017
