What to Expect on a Global Village Build
By working closely with Habitat country programs, volunteer teams partner with local communities to build or improve homes while learning about housing needs, local cultures and Habitat's work.
- Team size: Typically 8–24 volunteers
- Duration: Most builds are 7–9 days
- Experience: Hands-on building, cultural learning and meaningful community connections
- Impact: Support Habitat's vision of a world where everyone has a safe and decent place to live
No construction experience is necessary! Volunteers of all skill levels are welcome.

Global Village offers both Open Builds and Closed Builds throughout the year.
Open Builds: These opportunities welcome individual volunteers who are interested in joining a team. You don't need to organize your own group to participate.
Closed Builds: These opportunities are organized for a specific group or team and are available by invitation only. Volunteers must receive an access code from their Team Leader to register.

Each Global Village build has a registration status to help you find the right opportunity.
- Open for Registration: Welcoming individual volunteers! You don't need to be part of an existing team to join.
- Invitation Only: Reserved for an organized group. Registration requires an access code provided by the Volunteer Team Leader.
- Fully Booked: All volunteer spaces have been filled, and registration is no longer available.
- Registration Closed: This build is no longer accepting registrations.
- Coming Soon: We're finalizing the details! Check back for registration updates and new opportunities.
