2024 National Conference and AGM Banner

Habitat Canada invites you to the 2024 National Conference and AGM in Windsor, Ontario. This year’s conference theme provides us with an opportunity to showcase how we can transform more lives in Canada and around the world: We Build. We Influence. Together. We’re excited to welcome federation members from across Canada to Windsor, a city with a unique and fascinating history. We hope you will all join us for the Welcome Tour and Dinner, hosted by Habitat Windsor-Essex on Wednesday evening.

There will be many opportunities to learn from and network with your colleagues across the federation. Along with our main stage plenary sessions, you can choose from a series of workshops and seminars to attend. Be sure to check out the descriptions of each session on the workshops and seminars page so that you can make an informed decision when you register.

On Thursday evening we will honour this year’s national award winners at the Awards Gala and Dinner. With a nod to Windsor’s unique history, the gala theme is the ‘Roaring Twenties’ and we encourage you to come dressed to impress. Register today!

While it is a well-traveled land, we would like to respectfully acknowledge that the land on which we gather today is the traditional territory of the Three Fires Confederacy of First Nations, comprised of the Ojibwe, the Odawa, and the Potawatomi Peoples. We are grateful to work, learn and live in this area.

Calling all history buffs….
Windsor Essex has a rich and storied history. To fully appreciate what makes Windsor so unique today, we need to immerse ourselves in the past. A past which encompasses Indigenous roots, agricultural pioneers, French settlers, their role in the War of 1812 and place along the Underground Railroad, alongside the innovators and trailblazers behind the birthplace of the Canadian automobile and whisky. The Crossroads Historical Guide will shed light and provide an informative context to the settlements and advances that have played an integral role in shaping Windsor today.
