Join us for this optional networking event hosted by Habitat Nova Scotia.
Please note there will not be food provided, please eat beforehand. Cash bars will be available.
Please register your attendance through the registration platform.
Music connects people in many ways, including by expressing emotions, creating a sense of belonging, and sharing experiences. Therefore, what better way of building a bridge to the future, together than through song.
Tables will be assigned, so make sure to check the Announcements tab on the conference website homepage for the seating chart.
Table teams will be tasked with arranging the lyrics of a popular song without the use of phones or other devices. Have fun…and yes, we encourage singing!

Social connections are important to our mental and physical health, and connections with people that can relate to what we incur and go through daily are even more important. We are thrilled to use this lunch as an opportunity to network with those that work and volunteer in the same capacity.
Together with your team, you will work together to script, A Day in the Life of (fill in Habitat position here). Once finished, make sure to enter your story for a chance to win some fun prizes provided by Brand Blvd.! The winning entry will be announced and shared on Friday.
Take the rest of the lunch to get to know one another. Take comfort in the fact you are not alone…and now have additional people to reach out to when you need to talk.

One of the greatest takeaways from any conference is the new relationships that are made through networking.
Sometimes networking can be hard, so here are a few tips and strategies that can be a gamechanger:
- Be ready with some conversation starters. For example: What affiliate are you from? What sessions and or speakers are you looking forward to?
- Come with your own agenda of what you want to take away. For example: Do you have an issue you could use help with?
- Use your already established connections to introduce you to new ones.
- Don’t sit with people you know. Move to new tables after lunch each day.
- Stay on-site. Those after hour conversations can be very beneficial.
- Pack your business cards and remember to give them out.
- Look at nametags. Identify the folks you want to touch base with and be sure to greet them by name.
Remember the 3 Bs… Be yourself. Be confident. Be curious. You have so much to offer, and don’t forget we can all learn something new too.
