One of Habitat Canada’s roles is to provide the opportunity for our local Habitat for Humanity organizations across Canada to come together to collaborate on solutions to the need for affordable housing in Canada. We provide a wide variety of events and learning opportunities. One of the ways we do this is through our National Conference and Annual General Meeting,
National Conference and Annual General Meeting
Every May, Habitat Canada hosts a national conference designed to motivate, inspire, educate and collaborate on ways to solve the housing affordability issue in Canada. We also hold our Annual General Meeting at this time, reporting back to the membership of Habitat Canada. This conference is open to all Habitat for Humanity staff and local Boards of Directors across Canada. Delegates benefit from keynote speakers, workshops, networking with colleagues across the country, while also tackling the strategic issues facing our country.
The annual event takes place in different locations in Canada. This past May 2019, the event was held in St. John’s, NL, in partnership with Habitat for Humanity Newfoundland and Labrador. Thanks to the following national sponsors:
