The Opportunity

Habitat for Humanity Canada is seeking an individual to join its partner services and stewardship team in a donor care support role. This individual will be responsible for providing a high-level of customer service to Habitat Canada donors and will play a key role in donation processing.

The ideal candidate for this position will have strong customer relations and communications skills as well as experience in donation processing and/or data entry. Familiarity with Raiser’s Edge software is considered an asset.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service to donors through inbound and outbound phone calls, email and mail.
  • Assist in donation processing.
  • Maintain donor database by accurately and efficiently entering donations and updating donor information, and preferences.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and work to implement changes.
  • General administrative duties including filing, opening and sorting of mail, and additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or higher.
  • 2 years of customer service or data entry experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience working in not-for-profit industry is considered an asset.
  • Familiarity with Raiser’s Edge or equivalent donor database software is preferred.

  • Ability to work as part of a team, as well as independently, and take initiative.
  • Proven ability to prioritize tasks and manage competing priorities efficiently.
