Distribution Associate will work to Support and supply ReStores across Canada with GIK product ensuring that affiliates achieve their financial goals and achieve our Habitat mission.

Your Impact

As a valued member of our team, you will help advance our strategy and mission of putting more families into homes through:

  • Processing ReStore Orders – loading trucks and trailers – safety first focus. Maintaining safe and clean environment. Forklift license an asset however will train/get certified if needed to complete tasks. Equipment is inspected and reviewed every day to ensure safety.
  • ReStore Customer Outreach and Support – affiliate and donor stewardship within the DC – receiving area.

  • Assist in maintaining inventory
  • Work within the Distribution Centre (DC) to receive, sort and palletize donations of goods that are received on a regular basis
  • Accurately describe inventory received and enter product description and details into our online ordering system for ReStores to view and order
  • Work closely with ReStore Distribution Centre Coordinator to ensure that all inventory is properly entered online and documented with pictures
  • On occasion, be available to assist with material pickup at local donor locations
  • Maintain and reconcile warehouse and online inventory, with weekly updates
  • Print orders as they are received from various ReStore locations
  • Assemble orders, label product and place in shipping area for pickup/shipment
  • Ensure all paperwork for outgoing orders is complete, accurate and signed including any bills of lading or other documents required for shipping
  • Provide great customer service to ReStore staff, volunteers and truck drivers that pickup and drop off product at the D.C.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the warehouse, appropriately disposing of unwanted items and parts
  • Maintain proper forklift certification and report any safety issues with DC equipment
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety procedures, standards and regulations
  • Other Duties as assigned or requested


  • Community college diploma
  • Forklift license would be an asset

Working Conditions

Warehouse conditions (standing, walking and operating forklift) on a daily basis with occasional truck travel to load/unload at other facilities.

Salary Range: $33,200 - $41,500
