With her six-year-old son, Donald, afflicted with asthma, Michelle Little-Hokea was hoping to escape her mould-infested rental unit for the sake of her son’s health. Luckily, they were able to move into a Habitat for Humanity home before her husband, Tom, passed away from cancer.

Finding it nearly impossible to save money, Darlene Howitt’s future was filled with uncertainty, until she was approved for a Habitat home.
