Gaby and Harvey Kremnitz
 
Gabriele "Gaby" Kremnitz has 250 reasons to be proud. Her two-bedroom home in Mississauga, built in 1997, marks a milestone: The 250th home built by Habitat for Humanity Canada.

With her six-year-old son, Donald, afflicted with asthma, Michelle Little-Hokea was hoping to escape her mould-infested rental unit for the sake of her son’s health. Luckily, they were able to move into a Habitat for Humanity home before her husband, Tom, passed away from cancer.

 
Darlene Howitt - Halton Region, ON

Finding it nearly impossible to save money, Darlene Howitt’s future was filled with uncertainty, until she was approved for a Habitat home. Now, Darlene plans to go back to school, and she vows to continue her work for the Habitat for Humanity cause after moving in: “Habitat has inspired me to continue helping people”.
