2010 Oakville Build Projects Volunteers Needed - HFH Halton

Habitat for Humanity Halton is looking for energetic volunteers to join their dynamic team of volunteers to build two single detached homes starting in the spring (May/June) of 2010 in Oakville, Ontario.

Please note all volunteers must be 16 years of age or older.

Crew Leaders
This volunteer position leads a group of volunteers (approx. 5-7) including homeowners in the construction of simple, decent, affordable homes while upholding standards of safety, quality and fun. Habitat Crew Leaders report to the Site Supervisor.

This position is ideal for individuals that are skilled (professionally or self taught) in one or several areas of the construction trades. This can include rough carpentry, finish carpentry, paining, landscaping, siding, etc. Training will be provided!

This position is also ideal for individuals that have leadership skills, patience and the willingness to help and teach.

Crew Members
This volunteer position helps build our Habitat Halton homes. Crew Members participate in almost all of the construction phases.

This position is ideal for individuals that are willing to lend a hand, are open minded and patient.

Hospitality Hosts
This volunteer position welcomes all Crew Leaders and Crew Members to the build site. This position ensures all volunteers have signed in and/or out, are wearing their proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as well as places snacks and lunches out for the volunteers.

This position helps answer the office trailer phone and helps with general housekeeping tasks. On occasion this position may be required to pick up lunch and/or snacks from donor location.

This position is ideal for individuals that are friendly, organized and outgoing. This is a position that requires a self starter.

Tool Crib Attendants
This volunteer position is responsible for distributing tools and materials from the cribs on site as well as ensuring all materials and tools are kept organized and returned at the end of the day.

This position is ideal for individuals that are highly organized and self starters.
