| Dear Friend of Habitat, In the midst of the recent economic climate, and with concerns that a housing crisis may also affect Canada as it did our neighbours in the U.S., this year’s holiday season highlights the importance of home more than most. The need for decent, affordable housing has never been greater. Thanks to our volunteers, donors, and supporting organizations, we have been able to help many families achieve the dream of homeownership this year. Your support is essential to continue making a difference in communities across Canada by helping people discover that having a home can mean better health, better education, better career prospects, and a better life. Habitat for Humanity is committed as ever to providing families in need access to a safe, decent place to live and we encourage you to join us in addressing the issue of affordable housing at this critical time. We hope that the holidays find you safe and peaceful within the comfort that your own home brings.
