Building on Faith
Each year, Habitat for Humanity celebrates its partnerships with churches and the faith community through a global event called "Building on Faith". This campaign focuses on mobilizing the faith community to build houses as an expression of God’s love.
Building on Faith involves a “season of church partnership” where churches and other faith communities are invited to get involved with their local Habitat for Humanity affiliate by preparing a meal for a work crew, praying for the work of HFH, sending crews of volunteers or even sponsoring the construction of a house. The International Day of Prayer and Action for Human Habitat (Sunday, September 21, 2008) is an excellent opportunity for faith communities to pray for and raise awareness of those in need of housing.
